It is possible to install a rooftop tent on a Toyota Yaris. Rooftop tents are universal and can be mounted on almost any vehicle.
To mount a rooftop tent on a Toyota Yaris, you only need roof rails and roof crossbars. The roof rails and the roof crossbars are bolted to the vehicle roof. The rooftop tent is then attached to four mounting spots on the roof crossbars and is thus firmly connected to the vehicle.
Since the Toyota Yaris is not particularly big, I also recommend using a smaller rooftop tent. So two person rooftop tents are suitable for the Toyota Yaris.
However, you are free to choose between hard-shell and soft-shell rooftop tents. It is important that the rooftop tent does not protrude beyond the width and length of the vehicle when folded.
The roof of the Toyota Yaris is also stable enough to carry two adults. Because the rooftop tent is connected by the roof rails, the entire roof load is transferred to the entire vehicle body. The vehicle’s body is extremely strong and can withstand heavy weight.
